International Airport : Provided technical resources to city, county and airport
officials during the project design development phase. Administered the design
and engineering coordination for transmission equipment for the SONET backbone
and the 5,300 miles of fiber optics pathways. Provided support for
determining requirements & schematic design through the bid phase, design
development phase and furnished construction documents for the premises
distribution and fiber optic systems, which were budgeted in excess of $30
million. Completed designs featuring open architecture “any to any”
connectivity with redundancy using controlled fiber cross connects for easy
connection to all facilities and spaces throughout the entire facility.
Additional work
entailed the a feasibility of shared telecommunication service among the tenants
and the possible revenue potential. Managing
the personnel assigned to Outside and Inside Plant design groups and the
drafting personnel. Developed the standards for building cabling design, and
equipment layout for all functional buildings. This included both the Fiber and
Copper plant for the City and County of Denver Administration building
telecommunications systems design and implementation support. Also, instrumental
in the design, and implementation of the FDDI and SONET networks involving
over 2000 data and voice workstations and related communication infrastructure
